The GIP has certainly been a fulfilling and fruitful experience for me. Prior to the internship, I had almost zero knowledge of General Insurance and how the industry works. The knowledge and experience that I gleaned over the 10 weeks are indeed valuable, and has definitely increased my desire to explore underwriting as a possible career path in the future.

The GIP was a real eye-opener, and a great chance to meet and listen to experienced practitioners in the industry. This internship has also challenged me both as an apprentice in the world of General Insurance and as a person, given that I had so much to learn within such a short time. All in all, a great way to spend the summer holidays!

Thank you GIA for giving me this valuable opportunity to take my first steps into the General Insurance industry! With my internship, I was able to learn a lot about underwriting and actuarial work. The programme also gave me ample opportunities to network, and opened my eyes to the many exciting aspects of General Insurance. The holistic training programme provided sufficient depth into the different sectors of the industry, which was useful during my internship at AIG. Overall the GIP is a great way for anyone to find their place in General Insurance.

It is apparent just how well-structured and comprehensive the GIP is. Even before my internship at AGCS, the pre-internship training sessions taught me a lot about the different functions and professions in the General Insurance industry. My internship has also provided me with beneficial practical experience, through training with their underwriters, as well as offering global exposure to technical know-how.
