GIA Swing for Charity 23 Oct 07 About 144 golfers showed up at the Tanah Merah Country Club on Tuesday, 23 Oct 07 to swing for a good cause. GIA Golf Charity was held to raise money for the needy.  The efforts of the golf enthusiasts  raised a generous sum of $218,700. The money will go to the Home Nursing Foundation (HNF) and the Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF). During the Charity Golf Dinner, GIA President, Mr. Derek Teo presented the cheques to both beneficiaries represented by KDF Founder and Chairman, Dr. Gordon Ku and HNF Board Trustee, Mdm. Ho Geok Choo, respectively. The Chairman of the Organising Committee for this event was Mr. James Yong. It was heartening to note that the charity element rallied all the General Insurance industry’s professionals whom got together for this charitable cause. Click to see enlarged image.
