The General Insurance Association of Singapore held a briefing for members on the revised General Insurance Agents Registration Regulation (GIARR) on 26 Mar 07. The briefing was held at the Capital Tower. The revised regulations is due to take effect soon.
The briefing was presided by Mr. AK Cher (ARB Chairman) while the detailed revisions were presented by Mr. Mark Lim (GIA Executive Director).
Participants were told that the Agents’ Registration Board (ARB) had re-examined certain features of the regulations in order to streamline the ARB operations. The key changes were in the areas of academic qualifications, trade specific agents, etc.
