What are Idacs?  
  From August 1 2002, there's a new process for all motorists involved in traffic accidents in Singapore. Idacs are at the heart of the new process.  
  Idacs are Independent Damage Assessment Centres. These have been specially created to assess and record accident damage to motor vehicles.  
  The General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) has established a network of Idacs across Singapore as recommended in the final report of the Motor Insurance Task Force (August 2001)
